B is for Broken Branch Falls by Tara Tyler - A to Z 2015 Challenge

I am delighted to host fellow partner in crime from The Muffin Commando Squad for the A to Z 2015 Challenge, Tara Tyler! Do you not want to climb into her book cover or what! I know I do!
Broken Branch Falls, MG fantasy

Blurb:
Teenage fantasy creatures make their way through the trauma and drama of high school, where breaking the rules could destroy their town. Gabe leads a group of outcasts on a quest, hopeful they can save Broken Branch Falls. It's tough to be a goblin in high school.

Review:
Broken Branch Falls is a middle grade fantasy packed with action. The characters are charming in their own quirky ways, and the world building is very well done. The thing that sets this book apart from others, is the thought provoking message about accepting differences and working together. Middle grade readers who enjoy fantasy books will like this one.

Off the topic of the letter "B", I want to take the opportunity to showcase one of Tara's other books...

Pop Travel, near future techno-thriller

Blurb:
Cooper thought he could avoid pop travel teleportation, until he stumbled onto a video of a traveler who turns to dust. With help from the neurotic, scientific genius “Creator” and a beautiful Southern charmer, Cooper must expose the deadly glitch and shut it down or die trying. No problem.

Review:
I loved this book. I could so easily see it being a movie. It is sci-fi in that there's advanced technology, but otherwise, it's not that far out of the realm of reality and current technology. The characters in this were likeable and real. It was suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat, unable to put the book down. Highly recommended!

  6. Two books that sounds really perfect, also the cover was awesome.

Donna, my post went on past midnight Englishtime, the time zones play havoc with blogfest.
I always post mine as soon as it passes midnight just before going to bed. That is why it appears a day early where you are.
