Cancer is an all too well known health issue that has no age limitations or ethnic boundaries. How we handle ourselves around those affected by cancer can have an impact on their outlook in their recovery.  The simplest act of kindness by a visit or sharing in one’s favorite book can easily lift the spirits of those inflicted with the cancer battle.

Author and illustrator, Jill Dana tackles the difficult topic of cancer in a heartwarming and steadfast loyalty of friendship in an uplifting manner.

  1. I didn't know that - now I do. Kids with cancer. That is just so hard to see.

  2. Heart breaking! We are very near the one year anniversary of a dear girl who passed just one month prior to turning 16. She was a fighter until the end, and my heart breaks for her family and all of those suffering this terrible disease.

    1. No words can describe the grief. In our community too, one of Hayley's friends passed away. Every year the senior paint the huge rock on the mountain across from our high school and this year they added his initials. Very heartwarming!
