Vulnerability - Don't Allow It to Paralyze You

Blogging to allow the world to see your words in a public arena certainly creates a vulnerable feeling. One’s mind can often race with the thoughts, “What if no one likes what I write?” “What if I get bad reviews from my writing?” “What if no one visits and comments at my blog?” Stop that naysayer in its path and squash those negative thoughts and write what you enjoy and expect to feel vulnerable at times. As you begin to build your platform and cultivate relationships from near and far the feeling of positive connections will help in erasing the feeling of vulnerability.

Do you let the feeling of vulnerability paralyze you in your endeavors? If so, how do you overcome it?

I know for myself, when vulnerability stops me in my tracks of creativity, I take the time out to slow down and meditate to clear my mind of any negative thoughts.

I look forward to hearing how you overcome the vulnerability paralysis.

Thanks for visiting!

  1. Take a chance and you'll be surprised what happens!

  2. It is often hard to take that chance and throw yourself out there...but all the more rewarding in the long run when your words are read and appreciated and matter to those reading them...as yours always do!!

  3. When I get stuck because I'm stressing over being vulnerable, I have to stop myself and focus on things I can change.

  4. It's so hard to be vulnerable. I am British and was raised to keep a stiff upper lip. So I try to keep my struggles, both internal and external, to myself. I have a few safe places/people one of them you know I think...Tracey Cox. She has been a confidant for several years.
