Tips for Squeezing in Exercise During Your Busy Day by Donna McDine

Tips for Squeezing in Exercise During Your Busy Day

I am going off topic of Marketing Monday and I am focusing keeping the inspiration going for daily self-care of exercise.

The importance of daily exercise is more important than ever with all the chaos surrounding the coronavirus. Anyone that thinks they don’t have time for exercise can try the following tips to ensure you complete your daily exercise and reduce your stress:

Before your household wakes, get up 30 minutes earlier, wash your face, put your shorts and t-shirt on, pop in a Pilates CD and complete a 20-minute stretch session.

Treat yourself to a 15-20 minute during your lunch break or around midday. The exercise and fresh air will clear your mind and awaken your muscles for the remainder of your workday. If the weather does not permit you getting outside, walk the hallways of your office building.

Take an additional 15-minute brisk walk before dinner preparation. If the weather is lousy, turn on soothing instrumental music and treat yourself to an additional stretching session. Hold each stretch for 20 seconds for it takes the mind approximately 10 seconds to realize your body is stretching. Once you hit the 11th count you will begin to feel your muscles loosening up.

Before you know it, you have 50 minutes of exercise accomplished before your head hits the pillow at the end of the day.

I'd enjoy hearing about your exercise routine.

Good luck to being good to yourself!

  1. Good advice, Donna. Exercise and good self care are so important, particularly right now. I usually try to start the day on my indoor bicycle but am looking forward to nicer weather to get some walking in as well. My daughter and I tried a yoga workout recently...quite comical for me:)

  2. you make me feel so lazy. I do walk each day after lunch, when the weather is nice, but that's it. You've inspired me to get busy.
