The above statement rings true to my heart
and soul. For without the love and appreciation for ourselves our outlook toward
life and others will surely not be positive. How does one find peace and
acceptance with themselves. For some it's easy, for others not so much. I went
through a period in my life where I constantly compared myself to others and
what I perceived what would make me happy. Through the prompting and guidance of
meditating by a dear friend many years ago I'm happy to find my Zen on most
days.
What is Zen you may ask? The whole point of
Zen practice is to become fully aware, here and now. How does one do this?
Through meditation. Don't think your meditation session needs to be a long
period of time and you don't have time for it. I have found meditating just
10-15 minutes a day sets my mental, spiritual, and physical well being for the
day.
