About AllAuthor...

The AllAuthor team is working round-the-clock to create a platform for readers to find their favorite authors, discover new books, get to know new authors, find free books and many discounted book deals.

Since many of the authors do not write books full time, it proves challenging for them to spend a lot of time in promoting the books that they have so dearly and passionately created. This is where we step in. AllAuthor focuses on the requirements of all types of authors (newcomers, indie, bestsellers) and have come up with ways to help them achieve their promotional goals by supporting them with branding and provides them with various utility and automation tools for promotions.

We are constantly researching and getting feedback from our authors to enhance our services so that the authors can comfortably and effectively spend more time writing their books without worrying much over the promotions.

  • Every reader will have their own reader profile with options to customize it according to their own choice. Readers can save their all time favourite books to their profile and access it whenever they want.

  • In the Quotes section, readers can browse the quotes by famous personalities, create their own quotes, customize it and save it to their profile.

What is in store for the Authors?

Every author toils hard to bring a book to the outside world. Nowadays, many are not full-time writers, but even so, they manage to pull it off with writing and publishing an awesome book. Though many think that getting a book published is the hardest part, getting the book to the target readers is where the real challenge lies. Promoting a book makes authors venture into an unknown territory that needs dedicated time and energy which sometimes isn’t possible. This is where AllAuthor steps in. Authors at AllAuthor have access to a wide variety of readers who are on the lookout for something interesting that will blow them off their feet.
  • Each author has a personal website on AllAuthor which is mobile-friendly and SEO friendly, that helps authors in personal branding and in rendering a personal touch to the readers about the author. Authors can also interact directly with their fans and readers through the Ask Question section on their profile and through Book Discussions.
  • With the social media becoming a main determining factor in promotions, AllAuthor’s automation tools for social media promotions goes a long way in not only saving the time but also in maintaining the social media presence without compromising on the quality.

Marketing Tips at Write What Inspires You - Libraries

Welcome to Write What Inspires You edition of Marketing Tips and Inspiration. Last week I reached out through my blogpost and asked viewers to share their marketing tips

L. Diane Wolfe of Dancing Lemur Press LLC shared a fabulous tip that I want to bring to the forefront of author's in every genre.

"Marketing to libraries is one of our big focuses. We send a sell sheet and an author sheet to them, both enticing them to buy copies and have the author in for a visit. Libraries don't return books and have to replace ones that wear out, which I love."

Thank you Diane!

Here is today's partial snippet of my latest book listed in our local library system...

Don't forget to add libraries to your marketing toolbox.

Good luck!

Marketing Tips and Inspiration at Write What Inspires You - Local Media

Contact your local media and cultivate relationships...

A terrific tool to add to your marketing efforts is reaching out to your local media and cultivate an authentic relationship with them. Don't start off your initial contact with an onslaught of information for them to promote your book or writing services. Rather, research your local media, who the personnel are and what they are looking for to round out their programs. Much like when you research publisher submission guidelines get to know their vision and goals.

This type of approach is a win-win for both sides. Getting to know someone and their organization develops an authentic relationship where you both care about helping the other.

A few bullet points to guide you:

  • Follow your local media on social media.
  • Follow the media personnel on their business accounts.
  • Begin the conversation with replying to their posts, tweets, etc. and sharing their posts.
  • Your exchange needs to be authentic with thoughtful comments and not just liking their posts.
  • Once you feel comfortable submit an article query and thank them for their time.
  • Remain open to their timeframe for media whether local or national work quickly and often times you may receive an outreach to be ready for an interview within in a days time.
  • Flexibility is key. Be open to all opportunities.
Recently for myself, outreach and connection was made by the Rivertown Magazine through my daughter with her friend, Reed Tighe, that works for the magazine. I was and continue to be elated they were interested in video interviewing me for their online magazine and followed up with an invite to participate in their debut Kid's Corner Read Live on Saturday, May 16th. To say both experiences were amazing is an understatement.

If you are interested you may view both segments at:

Once never knows where connection will be had, so it's important to keep our options open.

I'd enjoy hearing about your outreach to your local media.

Thank you for your time and interest.

The Importance of Book Trailers

First and foremost, I hope you and your families are safe and well during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

To take your mind off these turbulent times, I welcome you to Marketing Tips Monday at Write What Inspires You! Today, I'm chatting about book trailers and how it's an important tool for your book marketing efforts.

Book Trailers for Your Book Marketing Toolbox

With the ever-evolving advancements of technology and the amount of information thrown our way at any given moment it is more important than ever to grab the attention of potential book buyers from the get go.

How is one to do that, when our dream as authors is to make the hearts of our readers soar through our written word, but other avenues of entertainment are vying for their attention? Why not, add a book trailer to your book marketing efforts.

Not only is a book trailer a terrific marketing tool to bring your book to the attention of readers, it’s a terrific introduction piece for when you conduct author visits.

I have also incorporated my book trailers into my school visit presentations as a way of breaking up the workshop segments. It engages our young technology savvy muses in the way they are most accustomed, lending itself to a lively question and answer session.

There are many different types of video creation software out there, but in my personal experience I have found it better for me to outsource this type of work.

I have had the pleasure of hiring Kim McDougall of Castelane for the Prose for all six of my children’s books. Kim created unique book trailer through her expertise in bringing forth the true essence of each book beautifully.

I invite you to view my book trailers at my YouTube Channel or click each book title to go to the book trailer video.

If you visit, please feel free to like and comment on the video. By the way, when a visitor likes or comments on your YouTube videos it helps with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) as Google is continually ranking the searches across the Internet.

I’d enjoying hearing about your experience with book trailers and if this is a tool you use in your book marketing efforts.

Thank you for your time and interest.

Marketing Tips & Inspiration - The Importance of Keywords with Award-winning Children's Author, Donna McDine

The Importance of Keywords in Your Marketing Toolbox

by Donna McDine

Keywords… What’s this you may be asking? Keywords are what people type into search engines (i.e., Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.) when researching a particular topic or product (i.e., Best Jersey Shore vacation spots; cheap airfare; NYC wedding planners, children’s historical fiction books, etc.). The more a keyword is searched the more attraction it has. The list is endless. But, what does this have to do with me as a writer? Absolutely EVERYTHING!

It is imperative your website and blog have strong keywords in titles, text, and in the meta data. Lets break it down a bit further…

Titles - at least one keyword should be included in the title connecting to the content of the article. If your article is about the importance of press releases the title should be something like… “Don’t Give Up On Press Releases.”

Text – whether it’s the description of your website or an article, keywords need to be mentioned throughout. Of course, repetitive keyword mention that does not include true value to the description or article is a waste of time.

Meta Data – this is html jargon for the backend of your website. Within the html code page description (Independent Book Store Listings) and keywords (i.e., sci-fi author, children’s author, how to write a press release.) of the particular page are listed. The meta data is used by browsers search engines (keywords), or other web services to show results when someone conducts a search.

How to Search for Keywords - A search of keywords is important to setting up the right combination for you. My go to keyword search site is www.keywordeye.com (NOTE: I do not guarantee your success by utilizing this service, this is a FREE/PAID service that I use for my personal needs). Once you create an account the steps are self-explanatory and I’ve included a snapshot of a recent search for “children’s books” with the results of the different keyword combinations.

The above goes well beyond your website and blog, when writing articles for magazines or guest blogger posts, keywords should be at the forefront of your writing. Of course, your byline helps in getting your name out there further, which is extremely helpful if someone searches your name. To show how important it is to get your name out there and keywords associated with you, I’ve included snapshots of “Rockland County Children’s Authors” and “Dog Rescue Children’s Book.”

Keyword Search: Rockland County Children’s Authors

Search results: I’m listed in 3 of the 5 top searches. Not bad.

Keyword Search: whale poachers children’s book

Search results: My children’s book, A Sandy Grave is listed in the top 5 searches. How cool is that!

These results have taken me years to establish and I continue to do so on an ongoing basis. For example, taking the opportunity to be a guest author on blogs podcasts helps market one further. The more material published about you, by you and connected with keywords will help rise you to a top level in the search engines.

Good luck to you as you write informative content with essential keywords!
