J is for Journey ~ A to Z 2015 Challenge

J is for Journey...

a traveling from one place to another, usually taking a
rather long time; trip
a distance, course, or area traveled or suitable for traveling
a period of travel
passage or progress from one stage to another

Many of us participating in the A to Z 2015 Challenge are writer's and our goal is publication. Even though we all have the same goal, each of our journeys are unique.

Honor your process and refrain from comparing your journey to others. We all have a path to follow and honor. Success is had by staying true to ourselves and our journey.

We are all in this together, with virtually an unlimited source of support, especially through the Insecure Writer's Support Group - #IWSG!

Best wishes,

  1. Thanks for mentioning the IWSG.
Indeed our journeys are different. That's why we can never compare.

    1. You are very welcome! Thanks for dropping by as always!

  2. We , as you say are all unique (thank goodness there's only one of me), all our journeys are unique yet so many of us travel the same journey to the publishers for our work to be looked at.
    Great subject.
    Enjoy your week-end Donna.

    1. Glad you liked my post and you have a great weekend also!

  3. Everyone's writing and publishing journey is different. That's what makes them so great. :)

    1. Most definitely. Thanks for being a loyal visitor!

  4. I suppose this is why writing and publishing is so exciting. Nobody does it the same way.

  5. It's definitely an interesting perspective; we are all on the same journey, and yet each is so different at the same time. That's why it's good not to compare our progress with someone else's--something that's so hard not to do sometimes! Thanks for this post, I needed it. :)

    1. Cortney, I'm delighted my post helped you lift your spirits. Good luck with A-Z and the crazy publishing roller coaster!

  6. Very wise words. Be inspired by others but remember no two journeys are the same.

    1. Well said Nick! Hope you are enjoying A-Z!
